Stayed one night at the campground after driving all day. Was nice to stretch our legs with a short walk thru the campground to the beach. Too chilly to swim in mid October but looks like a lovely swimming hole.
Beach is nice. The lady that yells at everyone is not nice. Not at all. We should all complain about her. Older lady sits there all day yelling about. Parking. Dogs, splashing , swimming. Everything.
Water is about three feet deep. So be ready for that. Nice for the kids.
Parking is limited. Swim at your own risk. Left side is more rocky, would recommend water shoes and a float since the water is pretty shallow. Great for kids.
Clean area – land and the water. Lots of wildlife. Very cozy beach.
Got to see the Bald Eagles in their fishing tree across the water.
Decent beach. Lots of goose poop on the grass and sand (we visited mid July). Nice water. Easy place to hang out with young kids.
The nearest bathroom has no outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach, nor showers inside the bathroom. But they were clean.
Expect to park far and walk because there’s only a handful of parking spots at this beach (4?). A few public spots at the closest bathroom down the road.
