GOODMAN CREEK TRAIL as well as several others start here. Mid winter we hiked GOODMAN creek TRAIL for an hour or so. Beautiful and quiet. Highway 58 noise soon disappears and you find yourself in lush, very wet woods. The trail was not level, but nothing especially steep. If you don’t like mud, stay away from this trail, it is dirt, not gravel and if you like a more natural trail its perfect. It was a weekend, yet only saw 3 or 4 other humans. Did see and hear critters.. check out the photo of the newt! There were a large number of downed trees from previous storms, must have got a good snowfall and/or wind through here.
