Blackwater Falls is a must-see if you’re in Davis, WV! The views are absolutely stunning and well worth the trip. The trail to the falls isn’t super long, but it does involve a good number of wooden stairs and a bit of a hike – so it may not be ideal for older visitors or those with mobility issues. There are plenty of spots to stop and rest along the way, though, and once you reach the bottom, the falls are breathtaking.

Be cautious if you’re visiting during wet weather or winter as the stairs can get slippery. Parking is limited, especially on weekends and holidays, so plan ahead. The visitor center is a nice bonus with lots of cool souvenirs, local goods, and merch. Beautiful spot overall – just come prepared and take your time getting down to the falls!
