Love this beach. It’s my secret getaway

I love how beautiful and peaceful this place is. The only reason it gets a star cut is because of the strict rules. Every single time I’ve been there this summer, there were more rules. The lifeguards can outnumber the attendants on a non busy day and will whistle for every small details which defeats the purpose of relaxing. Just please flex the rules a bit.

Ridgefield hidden gem. Spring fed pond with sand beach. Kayak rental. Family friendly. No fee if over 65.

Pros: Lots of parking. Good for small children.Cons: Rules rules rules. I’m an adult and was sitting on the dock, when I fell into the water head first, the “life guard” whistled and scolded me not to dive off the dock… Others were scolded to not jump off while holding hands and other silly restrictions. They recently placed more restrictions on how to go down the water slide… The amount of rules is gross.Ridgefield is trying to put “rubber bumpers” on life. A list of what you CAN do would be shorter. To conclude, you’ll be constantly tickled by pond grass and bumping into pond scum. The beach is semi clean, avoid the goose droppings! We will NOT be renewing our membership with Ridgefield Parks and Rec.

I liked this place but a little bit pricey to go in, even though I think it’s worthy. The water is a little bit dirty. They have different activities that you can participate. Be careful some areas are really deep
