Park was not wheelchair accessible. Very disappointed, gorgeous day. People were teasing the poor dogs. Someone should be there..

I was appalled to see people and children teasing the dogs at the dog pound. None of the walkways are wheel chair friendly. They have grooves that catch the front wheels. Even someone being pushed must turn around constantly to try to get the back wheels over.
It was a sad 😔 park visit.

The Spaulding Pond trail circuit is a well-marked, easy walk for families and nature-lovers of all stripes. One can view the wisteria arbor, the indigenous Indians of this land. There’s also a memorial for those that lost their lives in the flood of 1963 caused by the dam break at the pond. Their are gazebos, a beach, and fountain aerators sprinklers in the pond itself. The Mohegan park has much to offer recreationally: pickle ball courts, basketball courts, the Rose Senior Center, tracks, softball field and many trails. This a a great plus for Norwich residents that is somewhat under utilized, but well-maintained by the city. Lovely!!
