We had a wonderful time here. The kids loved the nature trail, natural play structures, and were able to go in the nature center and do stamp art and a scavenger hunt (among other things). Great hidden gem.

This is the cutest little nature park for kids (and adults) to explore. Located right off the main road (rt. 151 in Nellysford). Plenty of parking right next to it along with a lovely nature museum.
The kid-friendly trail features natural environment activities throughout along with a little story to read. The wooden playhouse has pots and pans to play with and I saw kids go down by the low level creek to get water for making pretend dinner.
The lady at the museum was super friendly. I was suprised to see life-sized animals and specimens in the building along with great info. Just about everything was touchable and hands on.
Take a break from the screen and take your kiddos there.
Nice bridges and scenery for photos and a picnic.
