If you’re searching for a spacious, well-shaded dog park in El Dorado Hills, California, you’ll love the El Dorado Hills CSD Community Dog Park. Situated away from busy roads, this dog-friendly spot offers separate, fully fenced areas for both small (under 30 lbs) and large dogs. The ground is mostly covered with wood chip mulch, which helps keep the dust down and provides a cool spot when summer temperatures rise. Ample mature trees provide natural shade, making this a great place to visit during hot days.
The park features plenty of open space for dogs to run and play, as well as paved and flat gravel paths suitable for strollers, bikes, and wheelchairs. Water fountains for both pets and their owners are available, and there’s easy access to parking just past the adjacent apartment complex. In addition to dedicated dog amenities, families will appreciate nearby playgrounds, athletic fields, and walking trails that connect throughout the recreation area. Overall, this is an inviting, clean, and friendly environment with regular visitors who value respectful, positive dog interactions.
Lots of open space and nice walking trails for your pets.
Shaded area abounds and so welcoming when the Summer temperatures soar here in EDH. I’ve heard some people complain that the wood chip mulch ground cover isn’t good for their dog’s paws but my dog LuLu is just fine with it. Separate areas for small and large dogs, under 30-lbs for small.
Beautiful, you can see how wonderful this place is. Lots of space to run around and have fun! Love love love it!
You can play in the park and watch a nice baseball game, while watching someone skate BEAUTIFUL! Coming back very soon, with more kids! 😁
Really nice and private dog park for both small and large dogs. I’m glad I found this park since the Folsom dog park is closed on some days. The area here is private, away from roads, and fairly flat. I like the size of the park. Not too big and not too small where you’re dog can’t run. It’s also great that’s it’s flat and not with a bunch of hills and dips to the point where you can’t watch over your dog.
Most importantly, I’ve found the dogs and owners here get along much better than other parks in the area. Haven’t had any bad encounters with dogs picking on each other and the people here have been very friendly.
Large trees and a lot of mulch compared to grass. I like the drinking fountain for both people and dogs. The dogs like the fresh water and it’s very easy to fill it for them compared to dirty bowls. Overall, a great place. Must be nice in the summer with all the trees! Just doesn’t have any lights if you wanted to come after dark.
