I’m on the trail at least twice a day for 5 days out of the 7 day week. I ride a bike and walk both. It’s my peaceful place, and I meet a lot of awesome people on the trail. My almost 4 yr old son loves it as does my 10 year old nephew
Amazing for bypassing walking or biking the highway. Great for family, friends, even safe by yourself due to the skycop cameras! I love this and will always consider this to be one of the towns greatest projects! And just seeing how utilized this facility is makes me smile ear to ear!!!
Nice walking/biking trail that runs through Paragould. It was still under construction the last time I visited but the parts that are paved and done can be used by visitors. There could be some better parking spots as I had to cross a busy stretch of road to get to the actual trail. It was not too crowded but that might just be based on the day and time I visited. I look forward to it being complete.
The trail is still under construction, but they’re letting people hike the parts that are done. We didn’t get to do much of it today, but it was surprisingly pleasant. The whole stretch near Harmon Park smelled like honeysuckles. The stretch behind the fire station runs all the way out by Popeyes chicken. Very wheelchair and stroller friendly. At dark most of it still seems partially lit. We’ve seen birds, snakes, and deer tracks along the trail
I’m the winter, I expect the junked cars that are currently barely visible through the trees to be more visible.
We went back to measure it using our gos and it’s currently 1.6 miles end to end.
Parking: you can park in 3 places currently to access the trail:
1. The main area will likely be at Harmon Park. You can park here cross the road and start on the trail.
2. The fire station next to the eight mile creek bridge has parking in a gravel area next to the trail. There is often construction equipment there at the moment due to work under the bridge.
3. Over by the Paragould High School, there is parking lot. The business here is closed after 5 IIRC and can be used to access the middle of the trail. Be respectful as this is not an area provided explicitly for the trail.
