North Domingo Baca Dog Park is a popular destination for dog owners looking for a clean, open, and friendly space in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Located near the tennis courts at the larger North Domingo Baca Park, this dog park offers separate, fully fenced areas for both small and large dogs, allowing pups of all sizes to play safely. The ground consists of a comfortable mix of soft dirt and wood chips, and there’s agility equipment in the large dog space, making it perfect for energetic pups to burn off energy.
The park is well-known in the Albuquerque area for its cleanliness, ample seating (including shaded benches), and plenty of water stations to help keep dogs hydrated—just don’t forget to bring extra water during busy times! With covered seating for owners, scenic mountain views, and proximity to paved pet-friendly trails, this dog park suits families looking for a welcoming, dog-friendly community. There’s convenient parking by the tennis courts, and food trucks often visit on weekends, making it a great social spot for both dogs and their owners.
This is a really friendly dog park. There’s a small and big side for how ever you want your dogs to play. There’s a water fountain to fill buckets of water inside the dog area, which is great! Lots of area for all size dogs to run around. Highly reccomed!
King and Sasha love it. Park is divided between big and small dogs. People are very nice.
Such an outstanding park. We were there for the balloon fiesta and our dogs needed to decompress. They had such a great time playing with the other dogs. It was very clean, big and safe area with water and tennis balls in addition to having places to sit. One of the best dog parks I’ve ever been to. Dogs give it 2 paws up!
Best park in the city!!! Next to a park with grass. And great views of the mountains and volcanoes!
Traveling and needed a safe place to stop and let the dog run out some energy. Sometimes it’s hard to find a good dog park, but this one was excellent. Plenty of room to run around, we could throw her ball a good distance so she got a lot of exercise in. They had large sections for both smaller dogs (under 25 lbs) and larger dogs.
There’s no grass in the off-leash fenced in section, but the ground was a combination of soft dirt and wood chips – it was actually really nice. There were water stations, 5 gallon buckets of water near benches, covered seating for humans to relax, and tons of tennis balls laying around.
The greater park is huge with several different sections for activities like sports (soccer, etc), covered areas for parties, a nice paved walking path, etc. We were there on a Saturday and there several food trucks there. We were really impressed with the whole park!
This park is usually very nice with water and some shade. However, after a heavy rain, a pool of water forms that smells like straight sewer. Our dog and others love the water and of course they don’t care about the stink. We will not be going again till it is dry.
