Central Winds Park is such a gem in Oviedo! 🌳 This place has a little bit of everything — big playgrounds, wide open fields, basketball courts, volleyball, and plenty of shaded areas under the trees. Perfect for families, sports, or just hanging out on a nice day.

The playground is a highlight for kids. It’s tall with multiple levels, slides, climbing areas, and swings. My son loved it — the big spiral slide and the swings especially. The equipment shows some wear in spots, but it’s still safe, sturdy, and fun. The rubberized ground around the play area adds a nice safety touch too.

The park itself is super spacious and clean, with lots of room to run, picnic, or set up for sports. There’s always people here but it never feels overcrowded. Parking is easy, and the whole space feels safe and well maintained.

If you’re local to Oviedo or nearby, this is one of the best parks to bring kids, get active, or just enjoy some Florida sun. Definitely a go-to spot for us!

Would be a great place to take kids to burn off some steam. Has the nice padding so that if they fall, they don’t get hurt. Tons of activities and tons of things to do at this place.

We went for the first time today and immediately saw that the play structure has a lot of algae growth, both on the structure and on the padded flooring. Even trying to be careful, my daughter slipped right away. It is in need of a big cleaning and I agree that the proximity to the lake for little ones is concerning. We didn’t stop at the fields but the rest that we saw was much better maintained than this play area.
