Found this little gem a year ago. Beautiful dog park inside a community park in Wilmore. I love taking my dog to this park which can be on the quieter side dog level wise than other parks in nearby Lexington. Since park is located in smaller town there are less people bringing their dogs which is perfect if you have a younger dog you want to socialize or just play with another dog or two.

We went with our neighbors to the icthuse farm in Wilmore to a night concert by the Lexington Lab Band (LLB). It was a great venue with gently sloped grass and a large central ampethre stage. The band played a large variety of rock cover songs. A good time was had by all.

The drive down quaint country roads to the park was soul-healing. (We’ve just gotten to Kentucky from city life abroad.) We went for the dog park, which was much smaller than the ones available in Lexington, but ended up enjoying the path adjacent to trees and farms instead. Our dogs saw cows for the first time here. They were mesmerized.

Big, clean, fenced. Shade trees are still small. Dogs act bored, unsure what to “do” when no one else is there. They take one run down the length and then come sit near me. Still, nice to have them off leash. A quiet place to think or read.
