Gabriel Vitale Memorial Field is a well-maintained community park located in Westbury, New York. While this popular park offers spacious, open grounds, clean bathrooms, a playground, and ample parking, it is important to note that dogs are not permitted according to on-site signage and local regulations. Some visitors have reported people bringing their dogs regardless, but official policy excludes dogs from the area. Families appreciate the tidy park, clean portable restrooms, and snack bar, making it a pleasant spot for picnics and playdays.
For those searching for a true off-leash dog park in Westbury, you may need to look elsewhere, as Gabriel Vitale Memorial Field is not a designated pet-friendly area and enforcement is generally strict. Still, its maintained fields and peaceful atmosphere attract many local residents seeking time outdoors with their families (minus their pups!).
Always clean, bathrooms are well kept, playground are clean. Always a peaceful time there.
The park is good but people come here with their dogs however, it was clearly mentioned that dogs are not allowed. And they let their dog open dogs roam around freely and poop in the park and owner doesn’t clean it. Plz tell me how to complain about it.
Nice park and grounds – shame like everywhere else on the island – dogs are excluded and parks / public safety love to harass you even if you’re a good pet owner who is sure to clean up after their pooch… Need some real places to go that aren’t those god awful dog parks (which caused my dog to become dog reactive – so i can’t take him anymore)…
Well maintained park! Spacious and great place to relax, bring the kids down or just enjoy the park yourself
Well maintained field. Snack bar on site. Portopotty open and clean. Spacious parking lot
