Blue Spruce Dog Park, located at 20-36 Autumn Woods Dr in Westbrook, Maine, is a neighborhood dog park offering a convenient option for local residents seeking a spot for their dogs to play and socialize. The park features a fenced-in area where dogs can be off-leash, allowing them to run freely and safely, although visitors have noted the importance of ensuring gates are always closed. While it’s a helpful resource for people in the surrounding neighborhoods, some users have mentioned that the park can be muddy, especially after rain, and that it may be difficult to locate without clear signage.
This dog park stands out for its local convenience in Westbrook, making it a practical choice for quick dog walks or bathroom breaks. However, it is relatively small and may have limited amenities compared to larger dog-friendly parks in Maine. While there may not be a separate area for small and large dogs or extensive pet-friendly trails, the fenced environment allows for stress-free off-leash time for your canine companion.
Been bringing my dog here for his nightly toileting. One night, someone left the back gate open, and my dog got out of the enclosure, causing my partner and I distress and needing to scream his band until he got sick of getting wet and made his way to the parking lot.
Update: The gate hasn’t been left open since the one incident. Over all a good place to take my boy.

At any level I’m glad fenced in dog areas exist. If you live in the neighborhood surrounding this park, the convenience factor is probably worth it. For anyone else I highly recommend not wasting your time. It’s difficult to find, small and extremely muddy as soon as you enter the gate. Had to change shoes and pants before driving away. This was by far my worst dog park experience. The pictures posted gave me a completely different impression than how small and swamped it was.

Hard to find. Not marked and very small and muddy.
