Volcano Days is a festival at Mountwood Park. Lots to see, products for sale. A log cabin that has a room with items to sale, and to share the history of that era. Good place and good people.

We stopped here to stretch our legs on our cross country trip. We hiked Quick Out, To The Moon and Copperhead from the Marina trailhead and picked up a grocery along the way. These trails are very well maintained and had excellent maps and directional signs at intersections. Although not trail bikers ourselves we were impressed with the jumps made from fallen logs. These trails are a nice blend for both hikers and bikers.

We went on a hike starting at the parking area F, and then followed the Walter Tait Trail, Lake Trail, Four Corners Trail, Mansion Trail, Power Line Trail, and Minniehaha Trail. It was really pretty and very interesting. It was wet and muddy, but we still enjoyed the hiking and views.

My best friend and her family met yesterday here for a picnic. We were at pavilion by the lake. 2 docks, 3 walking trails we seen which we did access one of them, the restroom was close to us it was clean and stocked, trash cans and recycling bins. Beautiful area we always enjoy meeting there.

I like to take the kids here and do a picnic and walk around. One year, we rented a camping site for my kid’s birthday so that we could safely have a fire pit and woods and bathrooms and human help. Beautiful park. Easy access.
