Freedom Park is a charming community space located in the heart of Van Buren, Arkansas, at 957 E Main St, making it a convenient dog park destination for locals and visitors alike. This park stands out with its lively atmosphere, especially during the holiday season when the city decorates the space beautifully. Located close to the historical train depot downtown, Freedom Park offers easy access and photo-worthy scenery year-round.
Families and dog owners will enjoy a variety of amenities, including a large covered picnic area and a splash pad for kids, creating a pet-friendly environment. With plenty of open areas and tree shade, Freedom Park offers a comfortable spot for pet-friendly outings and social activities. While some outdoor music equipment may be in need of repair, the park’s overall welcoming vibe and proximity to Main Street and the train station make it a great destination for those seeking a dog-friendly park in Van Buren, AR.
Our Beautiful Hometown outdone themselves with Christmas At The Parks. From Veterans Park down Main St all the way thru our City Park, it’s so beautiful and welcoming. We have driven thru City Park many times this season. And Walked thru Veterans Park and down Main St to our amazing old Courthouse across to the Circuit Clerks building makes me proud and makes me love Van Buren more. This little City was my Daddy’s little piece of heaven until he went to heaven. He loved lived and worked for VB all his life, in every Dept from Street, to Water, and Fire Depts and was the proud of being a Veteran of WWII and a member if the VBFD.
I know he looks down from heaven and smiles saying, “yep, that’s my heart and my town”
Thank You VB for bringing joy and life with Christmas At The Parks. Charlie & Betty James
with comments about my Daddy Thell Biggerstaff who loved this lil City more than anyone ever..
It’s a great little splash pad for little kids and it’s right next did the historical train depot if you want to catch a train ride
Lights danced to the music. It was beautiful. Great place to take kids, grandkids, nieces n nephews. Good place for sweethearts too!
This is a nice small park, great for pictures (there was a young couple taking pictures when we were there). There is also a water splash pad and gazebo across the street.
The city sets it up really nice here around Christmas time. There’s a nice big splash pad to keep cool in the summer, and can anyone tell me if they have some kind of concerts or anything on the stage? If not, they should. There’s a large covered picnic area and an area to play music in the park but all the “instruments” are broken. It’s conveniently located next to the train station downtown.
