While the dog park provides a large, open space for pets to explore, visitors should note that the fencing is in poor condition in sections, and there is no water available, so you should bring your own for your dog. There are benches, picnic tables, restrooms, and plenty of trash bins to help keep the park clean. I took the counter-clockwise route and I’m glad I did! The first mile was more difficult, but I was fresh then. The next 3/4 mile was easy, with the last 1/2 mile to the top getting steep again. The route down was treacherous in places and I ended up rolling my ankle on loose rocks.

Great 5 mile hike! Lots of shade, very scenic, mostly rocky, easy to follow the trail, much of the trail was 1 to 2 feet wide.
