This park holds a special place in my heart. I grew up just down the road. I stayed in the back, the West entrance. The sites on the outside of the loop that back up to the woods have a lot of privacy. If you are camping with friends, stay on the inside of the loop and have friends and family close. Plenty of space on the site. Little secret, their website says they can only accommodate RVs up to 20 feet. That’s not accurate. Mine is 26 feet and fits fine. You are pretty much boondocking in the back. No hookups on individual sites, no wi-fi, and poor cell coverage. The park has a dump station and multiple water sources. They do have shower houses. Great little park with a great feel. I love upstate NY in the fall. Too bad the tax rates make the state unlivable as a permanent resident.

We were in site 36 with our camper van. Sites are closer together and not as private as we like. Bathrooms were very clean and sites were well maintained. We walked along the lake’s edge and there several large decaying stinky on the shore.

This review is on the campground portion of the park.

If you are seeking a campsite to connect with nature, this is not it.

If you are more into the party atmosphere or huge sites to pack five families into, then this might be for you. Huge campsites, but no natural barriers for privacy. Just large grass plots. Lots of kids zooming around on bikes. Adult groups having more of a tailgating experience with lots of drinking, loud music, and yelling conversation. Not really peaceful at all.
