Plenty of parking and a lovely view of the lake. Not much to do here but fish or hike the single trail. I was here to hike this loop plus the Delaney loop, and I sure was glad to see this trailhead again 6 hours later.

Parking for at least 15 cars. All spots slanted. The north terminus of the Knobstone trail at mile 45. No restrooms.

Wonderful trails beautiful little “lake” more of a large pond 😋 It’s a wonderful place to start a hike either way. The sign says Spurgeon hallow lake but it’s knobstone trail. Again either way just beautiful I will most certainly be back.

Very well marked! I got started late so I didn’t cover the whole trail this time. A little buggy even with spray but mosquito netting is my new best friend so those pesky gnats didn’t faze me a bit!😁👏👣

We visited Knobstone Trail on a perfect, peaceful day. The temperature was lovely and we had the trail mostly (other than one other group of hikers) to ourselves. Although the trail isn’t extremely well maintained, the path was clean and well marked.Spurgeon Hollow Lake was beautiful and looked like the perfect fishing spot. We caught sight of a small fishing boat out on the water. The trees and flowers were fragrant and beautiful and we saw nearly a dozen butterflies along our way. We only followed the trail for a mile or so before stopping for a creekside picnic and then returning to our vehicle. I hope to return and hike the full 11+ mile trail next time!
