Sterling Park is a peaceful dog-friendly green space located on Sterling Ave in San Bernardino, California. Known for its lush, green grass, beautiful vine-covered walls, and majestic Ash trees, the park is a favorite spot among locals seeking a quiet place to walk their dogs or simply relax in the shade. It’s considered one of the oldest greenspaces in the city, and its antiquated lamp posts provide a glimpse into its history. Sterling Park stands out for its abundance of natural shade and tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for dog owners and their furry companions looking to escape the bustle of city life.
While Sterling Park does not feature playgrounds, dedicated dog enclosures, or benches, its open space and shaded spots are perfect for leisurely walks and spending quality time with pets. There’s also a BBQ area for outdoor cooking, though it’s rarely in use, which gives visitors a great opportunity for picnics. The park’s lush grass stays cool in summer, providing a comfortable spot for dogs and people alike. Remember to keep the park clean and follow local leash regulations for everyone’s enjoyment.
It’s beautiful with how green the grass is and the vine wall, has good shade but the problem is there’s no playground nor not even benches at least to sit on.

Its a walk your dog park. But hardly any dogs walking. Very very peaceful & quiet. In summertime its a good spot to cool off. There use to be a bbq pit. Ive been going there since 1978… Having a bad day good place to clear your mind. Just be courteous and pick your mess up. Enjoy
