Good place to park near houses. Trail goes downhill until you reach rock creek then uphill both ways from there.

Beautiful portion of the Cumberland Trail. Luna and I were out there for 4-5 hours and never heard another soul.

Also, if anyone knows the story behind the iron bars over the cave, please let me know.

Leggett Point is awesome!!! The view is pretty cool and the overlook itself is quite unique. The hike to the overlook is about a mile and it an easy one in my opinion. It is good for a beginner. 😊

There are some options at this trailhead so you can choose your trail based on skill and time.

the trail to the overlook was fairly easy. no one in sight. i ventured onto another trail & came across various piles dog feces on the trail. if youre not going to clean up after your pets (or yourself) or have them go where people walk at, dont bring them.
