Dogtopia has a large staff who genuinely enjoy caring for dogs. The cameras that are available provide peace of mind. The hours are consistent and the billing is transparent. My dog hates to leave and is exhausted when we get home.
My dogs actually got very sick with a stomach virus & cough from a vacation-length stay at Dogtopia.Also, their coaches really didn’t do anything to keep other dogs from humping one of mine pretty much constantly. When it got too out of control, they put my dog into a kennel. But we had paid for a private suite and explicitly said he was never to be kenneled, because he’s got severe anxiety about kennels. I just happened to turn on the camera at the right time, and it was horrible to watch him screaming in the kennel while my other dog pawed frantically to get him out.When we came to pick them up, they lied to us and said it looked like they had “sat in something”. Both dogs actually had severe stomach viruses and had pooped themselves; the staff were frantically washing them so that they could give them to us. The dogs ended up suffering and needing hundreds of dollars of vet care. The Dogtopia staff were unsympathetic to the suffering of my pets, and offered nothing for our obvious dissatisfaction.It was a very stressful and negative experience for both my dogs and our family. I would never, ever recommend this Dogtopia.
They had 110 plus dogs and only a handful of staff. We were introducing our dog to the group and they failed. They needed more staff and space for all the dogs. The person that brought our dog to the group clearly didn’t understand how to introduce a new dog to the pack. Honestly, glad we were able to witness how the place is ran on a busy weekend. We watched as they tried to introduce our dog to the massive pack, they failed. Then watched as another dog owner picked up their dog and belongings. The owner was clearly frustrated that they hadn’t kept all the dogs belongings in one space. It took the worker 5 times of going back and forth with its and other dogs belongings. The owner expressed that they didn’t even give their dog the treats and possibly the food they brought for it.Run, run, run away
This place truly cares about your animals! I bring my dog here to have socialization time with other dogs and she absolutely loves it (as you can see from her photo below, shared with us by staff!). She is well taken care of and the staff truly goes above and beyond to make sure that both my dog and myself have a great experience. Couldn’t recommendDogtopia of Mount Kisco more!
Lola has been attending Dogtopia since the day it opened in Mt Kisco. They truly love and carefully care for her and she is always happy when we drop her off and pick her up! They have established a safe and fun environment and I highly recommend them. It is well managed and the employees are a pleasure.
