FAQ for Tanzanite Dog Park in Sacramento California:
This is my daily dog park, as it is closest to my apartment. I would rate it higher, but there isn’t enough shade, and it’s mostly sand instead of grass. There is also concrete leading up to it, so dogs burn their feet on the concrete and the sand when it’s hot. It’s a dog park that is good for cooler weather, but not when it’s hot out.
Well-manicured grass and a nice view overlooking a lake w/ ducks in it. Not as big as other dog parks in the area, but enough room for both small & big dogs to run around
This is a favorite running spot for my Husky mix dog. There’s a long fenced area behind the pond. ( two fenced areas designated for dogs. No designation for small dogs.) Also pickle ball courts and skate area at this park.
Very clean and well cared park as usual, some people do not pick up after their dogs . I liked that it has fresh running water and trees that provide shelter from the heat .
Would highly recognize someone figure out a way to reduce the amount of standing green algae filled puddles bold puddles in this park otherwise great little discovery. dog owners for who don’t want Mudd to take home avoid this.. don’t leave purses or bags visual to thieves.
Nice spot, seems clean and friendly… Lots of picnic tables outside the dog area to hangout. We came after it rained so it was pretty dirty, but packed down so not really muddy. My one small complaint is the small dog park seems way bigger than the large dog park… Maybe they get more small dogs? Either way, I’d be back!
Nice dog park, decent size with two enclosed sections. It’s next to a nice pond with a couple of egrets that live there. Only downside is the grass isn’t always maintained well and often there is poop that hasn’t been picked up.
