Before going, I read all of the reviews and packed accordingly. The hotel is older, but very functional. We actually were surprised to find the beds comfortable. The room is definitely in need updating and although seemed mostly clean, definitely required wearing shoes at all times, including in the shower because it was just grungy. The pond is directly outback of a sliding glass door, which was really nice. We saw our neighbor catch a fairly large fish quickly. There was plenty of parking for our boat directly in front of the room. It felt like a safe neighborhood to leave our stuff outside. I would highly recommend ear plugs because you can easily hear conversations from anyone sitting on the patio near the pond late into the night. I would also recommend an eye mask because even though the window coverings are in decent shape, they let in quite a bit of light early in the morning. We brought a folding table which was very helpful in making our meals in the room. The microwave worked fine, but the refrigerator was a little underwhelming. We ended up leaving all of our stuff in the cooler because it didn’t feel overly cold even though we turned it up to the max setting. There is no freezer. Overall, it was very functional for what we needed as an inexpensive place to stay on a holiday weekend. We would likely return if we were to do this trip again.
Also, there is a bar and restaurant right next-door, which we did not eat at. However it looked like a happening place for the surrounding neighborhood. They had karaoke, pool tables, cornhole, and ski ball I believe.

The best place you can ever go to when you’re going to stay at rosevelt. They have a pond with plenty of carp, bass, bluegill, and catfish. But you gotta understand that it is catch and release, so catching fish is 10 times harder, which for me it makes for a great challenge. Also while we were getting ready to leave i went fishing one last time and caught this beautiful catfish that had so much energy and it put up a fun fight, but anyways the rooms are very welcoming with signs about fish ,and the folk around are very kind I wouldn’t suggest fishing at night if you’re scared of bats, but overall, it lives to its name.

Strike 1, first stay was ruined by middle aged adults partying until 4:30 am outside on the patio that echoes very loudly, stumbling drunk, arguing, yelling and management never intervened.
Strike 2, stayed with my 8 year old daughter. Made arrangements for late check in. Arrived to find 2 vagrants making out in our room, no answer after calling several times. They only responded to text and weren’t much help. Checking out I got an earful of nothing but excuses from management in the lobby. No accountability, no pride and I didn’t get the feeling they cared at all. I’ll drive the extra 30 minutes to Apache lake hotel, they actually care.
