Rainbow Park offers a large, open green space in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, perfect for dog owners seeking dog-friendly trails and recreational space. While not an exclusively dedicated dog park, Rainbow Park features a small fenced area for dogs, as well as plenty of space for leashed walks, picnicking, and play. The mountain views, ample lawns, and walking/jogging path make it attractive for pet owners and families alike.
The park includes amenities such as water fountains (though bowls may be missing at times), a seating area, and poop bag stations that are typically stocked. Rainbow Park also boasts playground equipment, sports fields, and shaded areas, creating a multi-use environment for visitors with or without pets. However, visitors should note that shade is somewhat limited in spots, and issues with overflowing trash and unsavory activity have been reported. For community members and travelers alike, this park remains a spot for outdoor relaxation, soccer, and walking your dog in Rio Rancho.
Nice park with playground but there is NO fenced in dog park. Pool looks nice.

Cool little park to come to and walk the dog, but feels a lil weird or ghetto so if safety is a priority for you then stay away cuz I didn’t feel 100% safe even in the daytime…I was afraid of some1 trying to car jack me or something I feel much safer in Albuquerque…

This park is severely neglected by Rio Rancho parks and services. The toddler playground is completely unsafe, missing or non bolted panels on the gym equipment. Many giant missing gaps of turf. The big slide covered in spray paint. So sad and so unsafe.

My dog loves it here! There’s a water fountain though sometimes there’s no bowl. They have different set ups for the dogs through out the park and a seating area for people. There’s also a separate area if dogs prefer to be alone or don’t get along. Poop bags provided and always stocked.

Tried this park out. Its nice. Has some soft foam type flooring. Has a field for sports. Also has basketball and volleyball (sand) courts. There is a pool with a slide but it was closed.
