Excellent for short hikes, dog friendly and a few good benches to sit, rest and enjoy the scenery. I use it all year round. Finding parking is easy too. Until last year the maps were a little off but they seemed to have corrected that.
Well maintained main trails with small offshoot trails to quiet areas. Huge range of topography and forest styles.
Great park for walking dogs and taking in the natural environment
This is one of the best town forests that I’ve seen! It has good trail maps and the trails are very well-maintained. It is a large area with the Ipswich River running through it. We parked at the Wood End School and went on a short hike.
Beautiful Trails, simple layout, you can easily spend 15 minutes or 2 hours hiking around this forest. Such a peaceful area. A good amount of dogs are walked here as well.
