FAQ for Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue in :
I adopted my dog from Pick Your Paw in 2020 and had a great experience with everyone involved. Adoption process was quick, and I appreciated how they thoroughly assessed if my future pup and I were a good fit for each other. Tammy also stayed as a reliable contact and support after the adoption during a few times where my pup had veterinary issues/emergency. I highly recommend adopting your best friend through this agency!
I have adopted multiple amazing senior dogs from Pick your Paw since 2012. I recently adopted my most recent last week! The adoption center in the Freehold Raceway Mall is absolutely spotless, and there are always volunteers in all corners of the space monitoring the dogs at all times. When a puppy has an accident, it is immediately cleaned up, unlike many other places where the accidents are just left there for later. The women who run Pick Your Paw ultimately want the absolute best for every dog in their rescue. I have seen many other shelters deny adopters that I personally know, and know they care for their animals well, so Pick Your Paw is not an evil organization for denying some people. They may just feel it’s not the right fit. Therefore, this person can go elsewhere and adopt from another organization. There’s no need to demonize people for doing what feels right to them deep in their heart. Sometimes they just have to say no. I personally have had nothing but fantastic experiences with Pick Your Paw, and the women who run it, as well as the volunteers genuinely care about every single animal in their rescue, as well as that pets future life. I appreciate everyone involved at Pick your Paw from the bottom of my heart, and I am so grateful for the amazing pups that I’ve had the honor of adopting and loving for many years. Always adopt, don’t shop!!
