Depending on what kind of shape you are in this could be easy, moderate, or hard. If you’re relatively active this is an easier hike. I use to trail run this mountain all the time when I lived near it and would run over to south pack monadnock and back through the connecting trail. Great for trail running and a good family hike.

Icy and cold this morning clear view from the top.Quiet except for my microspikes crunching on the icy trail.

Very good trail. The northern terminus is on a quiet road, it might hold a dozen cars. Note that the lot closes at dusk.

Nice maintained parking area at the north end of the twenty plus mile Wapack trail. Easy to miss from the road, if you aren’t paying attention, the signs are small. Once you know where it is though, it’s a nice resource.

The hike through the pack monadnocks were awesome. Great views, a well marked and maintained trail throughout. Very accessible via mountain rd. Hike for all ages.
