I had a very disappointing experience with this kennel and unfortunately will not be returning.

When I booked my Dalmatian’s stay, I was told that drop-off and pick-up times were from either 8–9 AM or 3–4 PM. The morning of pick-up, I called twice to let them know someone else would be getting him, but no one answered. When I finally got through, I was told that pick-up was only available until 3 PM—not 4 PM as originally stated. At that point, it was impossible for anyone to get there in just 15 minutes, so I agreed to leave him for another night.

The woman I spoke with was rude, but I brushed it off and told her I’d be there the next day at 2:30 PM. I left work early and arrived at 2:31, only to find the place locked up with a “closed” sign. I called at 2:36 and left a voicemail saying I was outside. I waited until 2:40, left to get gas, then came back at 2:50 and stayed until 3:05, still no one showed up or returned my call.

My sister-in-law reached out on Facebook later that evening and finally got a response asking for my phone number (which I had already given at drop-off). Then around 7:30pm I recieved a rude phone call from the shops owner stating she just stepped away for 10 minutes and I just missed her and she didn’t get my voicemail because she did not go back inside during her business hours.

The person I originally spoke to when booking was very kind, which made this whole situation even more disappointing. I’ve since cancelled my dog’s upcoming 11-day stay in October and won’t be using their services again

In the past I was very happy with Dog Palace. I always took both of my dogs (bichons) to be groomed at the same time and they were groomed at the same time by two different persons. Approx 3 yrs ago, consistently one of the dogs would come from grooming looking nice but yet had multiple mats left that I had to take out myself, also belly and butt areas was not groomed again I had to do myself. 2yrs ago I had to take the poorly groomed dog to the vet a couple of days after grooming on 2 separate occasions due to scratching and bleeding skin, after happening the second time realized (and vet agreed) the dogs had been burnt by the clippers. So now I groom them myself the best I can.
