FAQ for Hefflinger Park in Omaha Nebraska:
I love taking my dog to this location
Small dog area had no seating or shade. Small dogs could get under fence and through the gate and escape in several places… Not impressed!
The dog play area is great for dogs but the “parking” area is hazardous, ESPECIALLY with the fact that the entrance to the dirt track runs between the two sides of the park (and cars can drive through). I have heard people say some places looks like a war zone. Rarely is that statement true but I can honestly say the parking area of the park looks like a warzone with massive holes and cement debris everywhere. The dog park has great potential if the city actually cared about the area.
This dog park is so close and really has some great sized, enclosed areas for your puppos to run around. They have it segmented for both large and smaller breeds if you’re concerned about that.People have always been friendly, respectful and watch their dogs for any unnecessary behavior. My dog, Yuki, also likes to help clean up the trash as this place is somewhat maintained by the patrons.
My dogs love coming here! They have so much fun and always make new friends. The other dogs are usually very nice, friendly and just want to play, and the owners generally keep a pretty close eye on their dogs and step in when they need to. My dogs and I have never had a problem here and we try to come out at least a few times a week. Great dog park!
