Located in the heart of Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah, Monument Valley Tribal Park is a unique destination for those seeking a scenic adventure with their dogs. This renowned park features breathtaking vistas, iconic mesas, and dramatic landscapes that make it a must-visit for nature lovers and dog owners alike. The park offers pet-friendly experiences on its picturesque drives and trails, with plenty of photography spots for capturing unforgettable moments with your furry friend.
While Monument Valley is not a traditional dog park with fenced or off-leash areas, it welcomes leashed pets throughout its outdoor spaces. Visitors can enjoy extended scenic drives through striking rock formations and take advantage of the wide open spaces for dog-friendly walks and hiking experiences. Be mindful that park access requires a modest entrance fee and the terrain can be rough—high-clearance vehicles are recommended on the unpaved roads. If you’re seeking a dog-friendly Utah adventure immersed in iconic American Southwest scenery, Monument Valley Tribal Park is an unforgettable choice.
What can I say. One of the most spectacular places on earth. Iconic phots in every direction. Try to stay at the View Hotel and by all means, do the scenic drive.

Absolutely stunning! We were blown away by the beauty. NULL per person to enter the park. You can drive yourself on the scenic route or take a tour. The road is unpaved and rough, I do NOT recommend taking a car with low clearance on the route. Our Honda Odyssey minivan made it okay, but I was worried in a couple of spots. The location is pretty remote, but definitely worth it.

While the views from the visitor center and the exhibit are awesome, the drive into the trail was very unpleasant. The tour trucks drive like they are on the Autobahn. Lots of reckless drivers. Deducted 2stars for this.

Finally I ticked another one of my bucket list and it didn’t disappoint.
There are not enough words to describe it! We had an amazing time and it was a wonderful experience, I wished we could have stayed a bit longer!

I sort of waited til the last minute to book the tour, because it was the most daunting excursion of our vacation. I chose well in the end and we had an absolutely stellar guide! The place is so incredibly beautiful, and the back country seems to whisper to you from the past. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.
