Mitchell Edelson Dog Park is a spacious, fenced dog park located in the scenic city of Ojai, California. Known for offering both a small dog area and a large dog area, this park gives pet owners confidence that their dogs can play and socialize safely. With local features such as plenty of parking, on-site poop bag dispensers (though sometimes empty), and trash bins, the park aims to create a convenient and enjoyable experience for visitors and their pets.
Dog lovers appreciate the opportunity for off-leash fun and socialization, and many regularly visit the park when in town. The space is open and designed for canine enjoyment, though visitors should be mindful that maintenance can vary and picking up after your dog is especially important. There is minimal natural shade, and water may not always be available, so plan accordingly. For those seeking dog-friendly activities in Ojai, the area also offers beautiful pet-friendly hiking and walking options nearby, making it a worthwhile outing for dogs and owners alike.
I take my dogs here every time I visit Ojai.
Big, clean space.
The park is divided between small and large dogs, which is something I really appreciate for the enjoyment of my small dogs.

I was visiting a friend not at the dog park. I live in what is close to what’s left of the wild west. I go hiking every morning to the most beautiful places just a 5 minute walk to the Kern River. Why someone needs a dog park is beyond me. But it’s a fine little dog park.Go hiking. Your dog will thank you.
