Located in a tranquil neighborhood, this dog park features separate fenced areas for both large and small dogs, ensuring a safe environment for every pup. Visitors enjoy the availability of dog bowls, water sources, and even a toy bin stocked with items left by the community. Smaller dogs will love taking a dip in the park’s adorable wading pool, making hot Virginia days more enjoyable.
This pet-friendly spot is equipped with a covered gazebo, picnic areas, and seating for owners, plus shaded spaces to relax while your dog plays. Tait Terrace Dog Park is less crowded compared to others in Norfolk, making it ideal for shy or reactive dogs who thrive in a quieter setting. Please be mindful of occasional glass found in the soil and mosquitoes in the evening, and remember that parking might require a fee or street parking nearby.
GLASS!!!
Thought it was great at first for my reactive dogs because its in such a quiet area and not a lot of other dogs come here until I found a bunch of glass buried in the dirt and tiny little shards on the large dog side of the park 🙁 if it was cleaned up it would be great.

Our favorite park ! Awesome that they have a small and large dog side. There are always dog bowls and water sources. The mosquitoes 🦟 can be annoying towards the nightime!

Great find while on vacation. Needed to tire out my hyper pup and was thrilled to see there are toys here. She had a blast! Will definitely return if I’m the area again.

This dog park is in a quiet neighborhood and is a great to take dogs who enjoy playing alone. There are two separate areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. They even have a used toy bin which anyone can use. There is a cute pool for smaller dogs to play in and they also have water/food bowls for dogs. I haven’t seen as many other people with dogs come to this dog park so if you want your dog to make new friends this might not be the place for you.

Nice park. Big dogs and little dogs are separated so everyone can play nicely. All of the owners are really nice and watch over there dogs well.
