Great place to talk a walk. Concrete flat walkway with views of the bay and Long Island Sound. Signage along the way is very informative. Arrow points to Long Island.

When I think boardwalk, I dont know, but I think boards, wooden boards, you can walk on… and stuff along the side to look at, do, or shop… this was a pretty path along the water.Very pretty… but… “scenic Lakeview path with fishing” i think would be more accurate.Apparently, you can eat what you catch, provided you follow posted fishing limits. I thought that was neat. Don’t normally see that.

Very quiet, family oriented. Nice beach, just not our scene. We felt very out of place. Were fun, loud, and vibrant. Everyone appeared to be annoyed with our music. Oh and smoking isn’t allowed ANYWHERE ( we still did on the boardwalk ). Lol

Niantic Bay Boardwalk is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve visited in Connecticut, and it absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. Stretching along the coastline with stunning views of Long Island Sound, this boardwalk is perfect for walking, jogging, or simply enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. The path is wide, clean, and well-maintained, with benches placed at just the right spots to sit and soak in the scenery. We visited as a family and loved how kid-friendly the area was, with calm surroundings and easy access to both Cini Park and Hole-in-the-Wall Beach. Parking was free and conveniently located, and the downtown area nearby had great options for food, ice cream, and local shops, all within walking distance. Whether you’re looking for a scenic morning walk, a romantic sunset, or a peaceful place to unwind with your loved ones, Niantic Bay Boardwalk truly offers a perfect experience. This hidden gem combines natural beauty with community charm, making it a must-visit destination on the Connecticut shoreline.

Great place to bring a toddler who likes to run. The beach is very calm because it’s an inlet and my 3 year old loved the playground.
