Discover one of the most unique dog parks in Mobile, Alabama at HopHounds Brew Pub & Dog Park! Conveniently located on Monroe Street, this dog-friendly spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. HopHounds offers a vibrant social scene where dogs can play off-leash on a well-maintained turfed area, while their owners enjoy local craft beers and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect blend of pet-friendly fun and community vibe, making it a hotspot for both dog owners and those who just want to watch pups play.
The park features plenty of seating and tables for owners, shaded spots, water bowls for dogs, and obstacles for canine entertainment. Waste bags are readily available to keep the space clean. While there’s no on-site food service, visitors can easily bring in their own meals or have food delivered. HopHounds regularly connects patrons to local rescues, shelters, and community events like adoption fairs and special dog gatherings. It’s a great way to get to know Mobile’s dog-loving community and support local businesses – with or without a dog!
I have taken my dogs to the bar several times and have had no real issues. It’s a good vibe and fun place. However, I would not recommend “daycare”. Took my dogs one time and will never be back. They do not separate bigger and smaller dogs. Also there is not enough ”workers” to accommodate the dogs there. If you are not in the friend group, you do not feel welcome to bring your dog there. I hope the daycare experience has changed in the past couple of years, but if not I would not recommend their daycare.

Under appreciated place, my wife and I came here with friends just to see what it was about and had a blast! Fyi, we do not have a dog and want to check the vibe. You can bring your own food and have a few beers from their extensive beer selection. I highly recommend its good vibe, watch some pups play and have a beer. We will be back!

While staying in Mobile over spring break, this place was at the top of our young kids’ to-do list. They were bummed that they couldn’t go out onto
the turfed area with the dogs, but we parents wholly understood the reasoning and appreciate the consideration for dogs and humans alike.
Our grumpy old man JRT was a little thrown off that this wasn’t his usual off-leash spot, so we didn’t stay long. The beer offerings, chill vibes, and super friendly staff would’ve definitely had us staying for much longer. What a a great concept – and a cool building, too!

I come here with family every time I visit Mobile. It’s always fun to enjoy local beers with dog people, and it’s a great place to connect with local rescues, shelters, vets, vendors, etc. Most recently, I came out for the annual pre-MardiGras adoption fair to support the local Krewe de Rescue. Great food trucks and tons of quality raffle prizes, available dogs everywhere. It was packed! I’m sure the host venue did very well, and I hope to be back for future Krewe de Paloooza events.
