Stone Arch Dog Park in Minneapolis, MN

Stone Arch Dog Park is a convenient, compact off-leash dog park located at 701 SE Main St, making it a handy option for downtown Minneapolis residents seeking a quick getaway for their pups. While small, this hidden gem offers a securely fenced area where dogs can socialize and run, providing relief in the heart of the city. The ground is covered with fine crushed stone for safe play and easier maintenance, though be aware it can get dusty during active play.

Park users will find basic amenities like benches for owners, trash bins, and a supply of poop bags. While not ideal for large dogs or lengthy visits, it’s sufficient for small to medium dogs needing a secure, off-leash space to burn off energy. Note that water is not always reliably available inside the park, and parking can be challenging, with paid options required in surrounding lots. Despite its smaller size and urban feel, its proximity to pet-friendly trails, restaurants, and Dinkytown make it a nice stop for dog owners in downtown Minneapolis.

I just found this mini dog park, it’s the closest to my place. It’s kind of hidden and really small, but at least my dogs found some space to run.
Fence and benches are nice (maybe too short they can jump it). The only real concern is that there is A LOT of poop, I wonder why people don’t clean after their dogs. How can we have nice things if we don’t take care of them!!!

Pretty pathetic dog park. No other dogs, very small, a dead bird in the corner, and you have to park a ways away. Won’t take my dogs here again.

Smaller dogs would love it, big dogs need more. Tiny space

No room for parking unless your a resident at the apartment. You have to pay for parking.

This is a really awful dog park. When I visited in October 2021, the place was a shambles. First, the double gated entrance looks like someone tried to drive into it, so it’s not very safe and the grounds themselves are disgusting. They provide poop bags and a garbage can but the people who use this park or either lazy or disgusting or quite possibly both. On the day I visited there was a lone meth user inside the small park having the timer of her life. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my small dog off leash and only let me big dog off to relieve himself. If rather bring my dog to an empty field than this place.
