FAQ for Menomonee Dog Park in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin:
I drive 25 minutes from Waukesha to use this dog park! It takes about 25 minutes to walk the large loop. It’s beautiful and I love all the bushes in the middle where our dog loves to explore and find critters. This keeps him busy so his mind is not on trying to escape (he likes to check out the perimeter of a fence for a way out, no matter how large the area). Sometimes Nashotah and Minooka don’t feel closed-in enough… This one has such sturdy fences and gates that go all the way to the ground and the fences are angled in and tall enough that a dog would not be able to jump over them. We also like the other area right across the parking lot which has a bathroom building and a water spigot. When it’s warm, we love the dog beach area because that is also fenced in and large enough to enjoy when busy. It’s just an all-around great park!
Love the Menomonee falls dog park. This dog park is fully fenced in. There’s plenty of room for dogs to run around and get their energy out and also trails for walking. There’s plenty of shade because of the big trees and even when walking the path there’s quite a bit of shade. There’s a shelter with picnic tables.. plus picnic tables scattered throughout the park. I highly recommend.
Love it! Well-Behaved dogs friendly owners, dog areas are sorted by size. Then there’s the lake for a quick swim if anyone gets too muddy, LOL We will be back!
A lovely park in general with walking trails, camping, archery, scuba diving lessons and the infamous Bug Line bike trail, asphalted and kept up. The dog parks are in three sections shortly after entering the park, and another beach area for them to swim. The common section includes a public restroom, a dog watering station and shorter walking trails. The large dog section has more lengthy trails, but no public restroom nor water for dogs. The third area is for small dogs only and again features walking trails and a public restroom. All dog areas include waste stations with bags and collection. Most owners abide by a no treat, clean up after your dog policy and are very friendly. Other than excessive mud after rain, and some rocky terrain, the entire park is very well kept up. Currently the common area needs grass cutting as it’s hard to find what your dog left behind but that is rare. Thank you for providing such a needed service and property!
This is a huge, well maintained dog park. The people are friendly and dogs we encountered were well behaved. Our only concern is that there appears to be an adjoining hiking trail within the park that isn’t fenced and has no gate. We weren’t aware and although we were with our dog, he decided playing and following another pup down the trail was way more interesting than obeying his command to come. (He’s adopted and still learning). Just wish there was a sign posted or gate to alert humans of the open trail access. Plenty of shaded areas for humans and clean, well maintained restrooms. One watering area for dogs. Plenty of poo bags available with one trash container located at the entrance. Be prepared for plenty of exercise for your pooch!
