If you’re traveling through Maple Hill, Kansas, Prairie Dogs Dog Park is an easy-to-find and convenient spot right off the highway, perfect for letting your pets stretch their legs. The dog park is surrounded by a secure chain link fence, creating a safe space for dogs to play fetch and roam freely. Its proximity to the interstate makes it a favorite stop for travelers and truckers with pets, offering a much-needed break during long drives.
This roadside dog park features enough space for casual play and is complemented by picnic tables and seating areas for owners. While it offers great visibility and outdoor convenience, please note that there is no water fountain available, so be sure to bring some water for your pups. The park is also reportedly well-lit for after-dark visits, and it’s open and accessible through at least late November, making it a reliable spot in most seasons.
Interesting looking spot. An area surrounded by a chain link fence, presumably for dogs to run around in, with some picnic tables nearby, most likely for the human owners.
Good dog spot, enough room to play fetch and stretch the legs.
One of the better roadside/truck stop, dog parks. Theres enough room to toss a ball. Seating outside and looks like there would be great lighting after dark too but I was here at noon.
There’s enough space for them to run but probably not sprint for any bit of time.
No water and not sure what it’s like when it snows but in late Nov it’s open and nice.
Great stop along the interstate for the dogs to play and get some water.
Signs for miles on the highway. Stopped off to let my dogs stretch their legs and the gate is pad locked.
