I shared a great adventure with my son. I can’t wait to share with the rest of my family.

This park is one of my favorites. It beautiful! Wonderful waterfalls, a lake, and overlook. One if my favorite spots is the outdoor chapel which not many know about. Trails are clearly labeled, but be warned some trails are rocky and for people who want more of a hiking experience (waterfall trail is the one we took which is rocky and has some climbing). But there are flatter trails to enjoy as well.

Great trail. It is very rocky and not an easy hike at all. It took me 2.5 hours to cover 5.3 miles. I did get lost a few times.

Schooleys Mountain Park is a great place for hiking, biking, fishing, and having fun with the family. The paths, while a little rocky, are pretty fun otherwise, and lots of revisions have been done lately, especially on the waterfall path, to make it more excesable.

It’s a nice hike in Morris County. It’s lined up with the “Patriot Path” so you can continue your hike without disruption. The couple times I have been there, I didn’t venture too far. I was also hiking with little ones… We parked in the main lot and walked to the trail. We walked some of the trail, took pictures of the cascading water and did a partial hike. Nice, quiet area, depending on numerous factors (time of day, day of the week, holiday, weather). During the warm months this place gets busy, but my most recent visit, as of this review, was 3/1/25 and we only passed 3 other groups. Worth checking out for a nice hike along a stream with some ‘waterfall’ features.
