No shade. This trail would be best enjoyed in the cooler months…. although I did see 4 deer on the trail about 2 miles in during the month of May. Taking the loop clockwise, the last portion of the trail is loose sand. It was a bit of a challenge for this 66yo dude on a pedal-assist ebike, but I made it without going down.

Breathtaking sunrise with lots of birds and spider webs. There was a guy checking out my car when I left. Make sure you lock your car.

The trails were overgrown with grass. It looks like someone mowed, but only a small segment. There are some sandy parts of the trail and mostly full sun. The mosquitoes were bad as there is a lot of wet areas including on the trails. It’s peaceful though which we enjoyed! Overall a nice place to hike. Looking forward to trying it in the fall when it’s cooler.
