We camped here Aug 8 thru Aug 29, 2025 and really enjoyed our time at the campground. There was only about 3 other campers there until the last night (Thursday before Labor Day weekend). Several campers (15-20) came in on Thursday but most were closer to the entrance, we were at the outer area, (Site 28). One camper came in at 8:50 PM into the site beside us, the rules clearly state “must be setup before 9:00 PM”. There was a camper in the middle of the campground with a Host sign, but we never did see anyone or vehicle at the camper all week. The bathrooms/showers were fairly clean, ( I have seen worse). I don’t think they were cleaned all week but since there was very few campers there it wasn’t an issue. We like to get out and explore the area and hike trails in the area, You have to travel about 10 miles of narrow and curvy two lane roads to get to the campground which is the only drawback. There is several miles of trails at the campground which we hiked to include the 1.6 mile hike around the lake.

It was a good place for an outdoor event. Parking was tough. Many were there for the pool only, and we had to lug our coolers and other items a distance to the shelter because they had parked in front of the shelter.

Clean Bath House is a plus, large lots your not on top of each other. Very quite after 9 p.m. no partiers and loud music. Staff is great especially Joyce Harris, she works the office very friendly and knowledgeable.

Service: 10/10Knowledgeable staff at the office answered all of my questionsCleanliness: 7/10Mostly clean but there seems to be a lot of wasted fishing line along the lake at the fishing spots which could be dangerous if they have hooks on themAtmosphere: 10/10Very cozy place, very fun and welcomingBusy: 5/10It has everything that bigger resorts have except the crowdsValue: 9/10It was only NULL.50 to get in the pool. But its cash onlyOverall: 10/10This is a really nice place and I highly recommend itFor my video review, search for “trail heads” channel on YouTube
