Nice view for lunch. A beautiful day and the park wasn’t overcrowded. It was a moderate workout to climb back up to the car.

I had the opportunity to face paint for a birthday party here. My first time visiting this park and I was so impressed. Gorgeous views!

This small community park is a hidden gem. Playground, basketball court, ball fields, tennis courts, covered pavilions, picnic tables with grills and bench seating. Views are impressive. Park grounds and portable toilets were clean and well maintained. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming. Parking is plentiful with a narrow steep road in, I chose to park my Class B on the perimeter main road.

Clean, kid friendly park with plenty of open space to bring a blanket and relax. At the top of the park there’s an incredible view that looks over the river and directly at the capital . I’ve taken many great pics there. What’s really special is that the property owner has put a bench and a little garden area for anyone to sit and enjoy this view!Rarely do you find people freely sharing anything, let alone creating a place specifically for strangers to use. Sadly some people don’t respect others property and leave their trash behind, add their own artwork (graffiti) or carve into the pretty painted bench. I’ll put a photo of the recent mess a visitor madeStill if you need a place to clear your head or to just enjoy your lunch out of the office, then this is a stop for you.Look for the white bench with the painted message “WELCOME TO WASHINGTON HEIGHTS “
