Kennebunk Dog Park is a highly regarded dog park in Kennebunk, Maine, offering a safe and friendly environment for local dogs and their owners. Conveniently located at 36 Sea Rd, this well-maintained park features a spacious, fully fenced area where dogs can roam off-leash and socialize with other pups. Known for its sense of community and responsible dog owners, it’s a popular destination for both locals and visitors looking for a welcoming spot for their four-legged friends.
The park boasts separate sections for large and small dogs, letting every canine enjoy plenty of room while keeping play appropriate and safe. Ample seating, lots of shade from mature trees, and proximity to parking make visits comfortable for pet owners. Thoughtful amenities like clean water, waste bags, and toys are provided, and cleanliness is a point of pride for frequent visitors. While the dirt ground can get muddy after rain and some updates may be ongoing, Kennebunk Dog Park stands out as a great spot for dog lovers exploring the pet-friendly side of Kennebunk, Maine.
Doesn’t take much to have a very good dog park. Kudos to Kennebunk for devoting the space to one. With limited sidewalks in this area it’s wonderful to have a nice fenced in area for dogs to run safe. Areas for large and small dogs separated. Plenty of seating for owners. Close parking. Thanks Kennebunk.
Sep,’24 update. Bare bones right now. Area is under reconstruction and not much more than a large fenced in area right now. Still popular later in the afternoon but not do much other times. Hoping for improvements in the spring?
Nice park, lots of shade. A hose over to the back corner allows pools and bowls to be filled. Just dirt ground, though, which means it’ll get muddy in wet weather.
Separate area for small dogs.
There are plans to move/expand the park into the open space hillside to the back.
1st time visitor- In town with my two larger dogs and wanted a spot to exercise them.
Lots of room for them to play and explore! Plenty of benches and seating for the owners.
Looks like folks do a good job of keeping the place clean, too.
Awesome dog park. Well cared for. Great spaces. Water. Good dog owners. Clean. Happy dogs.
Clean water, toys and waste bags are provided, the park itself is large and secure, and there are usually friendly pooches for dogs to play with whenever we go. There is also a separate section for anxious dogs to have a little open space to play in, and lots of trees and even a fire hydrant to pee on!
