Very nice historic park. Dog friendly with mandatory leash. Very popular with a decent low cost 18 hole golf course. Beautiful views of the south shore. Plenty of chickens.

Fun little hike from ocean views to local forest calmness. Interweaves through a golf course, but not in the line of fire. Parking areas are full of chickens. Please don’t feed them 🐓

There are actually 2 short loop trails here. The one on the right start by the parking on the right just inside the gate and goes thought planted fir trees making you believe you could be on the mainland. This loop is about 0.75 miles. The loop on the other side of the road is even shorter and goes through more traditional Hawaiian forest.
