FAQ for Sayers Dam Beach in Howard Pennsylvania:
Went to Bald Eagle State Park in Lock Haven PA to see a Pumpkin Chunkin contest. The pumpkins got shot into the lake at Sayers Dam Beach. It was a beautiful day there. There are lots of picnic tables to sit at. We brought our own chairs and blanket to sit on. Very clean and beautiful area.
Great state park and beach. Nice beach, one of the larger state park beaches. Always clean, plenty of pavilions, grills and space for any family gathering.
Beautiful park. I’ve been here twice as of this writing, and usually in the fall. They hold their annual Punkin Chunkin festival at this beach. They couldn’t pick a more visually pleasing place to hold it. Ample parking, incredible views. It’s fun to watch them fling the pumpkins into the lake with an impressive splash.
Beautiful park on Bald Eagle State Forest. There’s a wonderful beach for swimming and sunbathing, as well as a large lake for boating.
Loved this little beach. It’s open with plenty of picnic tables and pavilion. The sand, grass area, and bathrooms were cleaned. Plenty of parking space as well. The one thing I wished I knew was the lake had LOTS of rocks. So it was a bit uncomfortable to swim but I toughed up and enjoyed swimming in the lake. If you have sensitive feet bring water shoes! Overall I recommend this beach for a perfect beach day.
