UPDATE 5 months later 8/10/25:The pier and trails/boardwalk are open again! My kids had a great time, the weather was super nice. They love the outdoors and exploring new trails with me.The trail near the end of the park past the playground leads all the way to Key Vista Nature park, the pier was beautiful too, so windy and water nice and clear!Even the playground was really fun, they added so much more stuff! It used to be so small if you look at the pics from before. Now there’s Rick climbing walls, swings, two playgrounds instead of one small one, it was great! Could use more shade though!Definitely would recommendFirst review from April 2025:I would’ve gave this 5 stars but the pier and boardwalk on the other side of the park are both closed, I’m guessing due to hurricane damage, probably for safety, but this isn’t mentioned in the description that some things are temporarily closed at the park. Either way, there is a nice little playground with tons of space and fields to run around. My twins still made the most of it as they always do with anything in front of them! There’s shaded picnic areas and public bathrooms. There’s still access to the water if you want to swim or fish and it’s still rather beautiful, the views are nice! It would’ve been fun to hit the trail and the boardwalk/pier as my kids love trails but hopefully it all gets fixed soon so we can come back and enjoy it!

1 of the best dog parks i have visited. 3 fenced in areas, small, large, and a dog playground. We have visited the pier many times, very friendly atmosphere. Conversations with the fishermen, and 1 early morning i was thrilled to watch approximately 15 dolphins playing. If you stop by say hello to the black cat that hangs out at the pier.

This place puts out so much pollution now that Duke owns it. They should be shut down. If you fish here, don’t eat anything you catch. This is foam from the solution they put in the water. They use the water to cool the system as they pump out over five hundred million gallons a day. With inhibitors delivered by simi trucks daily.

On the right side of the park is the Ancolte Boardwalk to the beach and it has a beautiful sunset view. The path is a short 5 or 10 minute walk. It leads you right to the water and is brilliant. 🌅 I will say this—be sure to wear BUG SPRAY! The no-see-ums can be bad near sunset.

One of my all time favorite places! I come here to watch the sunset at least once a week in the summer! The pier has great views and plenty of room to fish if you wanted. I have seen some people out with quite the setups. I love to walk the boardwalk over to key Vista and the tower to watch the sunset, or walk along the beach barefoot when it’s warm. This place never gets old to me. There is a wonderful dog park with areas for small and big dogs separated with lots of room to run.
