I grew up in this park since 1964, I still play horse shoes on the weekends and bring my grandchildren along with me, my entire family attends our annual picnic every July. Nothing but good memories at Hawthorne.
The park itself is really nice, it was clean and has a good selection of playground equipment both for toddlers and bigger kids. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars because there were a lot of adults just hanging out in their cars parked next to the park but they didn’t have kids playing and weren’t utilizing the park itself. That can give you an unsafe feeling.
I love the park I go play my music and relax and enjoy being around family and friends
