Sprinklers have been running for the past two mornings after the rain on Sunday night. Standing water all over wet dogs suck. Maybe that’s why water bills are so high!!!

I recently adopted a 2-1/2 yo bloodhound rescue and wanted to check out her interaction. Tuesday, we arrived at the park mid afternoon; no other dogs were present in the 30# and above section. What became a problem was the fact that not all dog feces (poop) had been picked up, which is a park rule. There were at least 4 piles (watch where you walk), including a pile that it was obvious the dog must have had difficulty passing as there was a very long strip of cellophane attached. Unfortunately, one of those piles had been fairly fresh, and my rescue decided to roll in it. The good news is that there is a working faucet with a water bowl, and I was able to clean her up before placing her in the car. It would probably be a good idea if people walked around before leaving to see if there are any fresh droppings. What is amazing to me is how lazy a person can be when the township provides baggies for stool pick up and a place to dispose of it located right at the only entrance/exit? It’s people who are inconsiderate who destroy the beauty and well-meaning intentions that were made by Henderson township. I don’t blame the township, but those people who don’t follow the park’s rules. Sad.
