We were there last week, and the park was a little messy with bird poop, but what really worried me were the geese. They kept following my little one and scared him because he didn’t have anything to feed them. Maybe it’s better not to take little kids when the geese are around.

I like this park. Is the playground the best in town? It is not. Is it as close to the train as it could be in a world where Hastings isn’t home to one of the nation’s dirtiest superfund sites? Nope. Is the restaurant next to it kind of overpriced with the exception of brunch pre-fixe? Probably a bit, though it’s very good food.

So why 5 stars? Great views. Friendly vibes. Nothing life changing here, but my kid and I are happy every time we come.

There is so much beauty in such a small area.
Our kids love to play in the playground and kick rocks on the tiny beach while the Geese splash around with the little ones. Beautiful restaurant on the Hudson with plenty of parking available.

Sunset and sunrise are so peaceful and beautiful. The peace is sometimes interrupted by waves made by boats passing by, adding more to the beauty.

So, enjoy.
