Really beautiful prairie park with trails and so many animals. Never had anything but a good time as a visitor there (I love the badger the most). Never stayed the night or anything; only negative I can say is, we had wanted to host our wedding ceremony there but couldn’t get ahold of anyone. It took them over 3 months to respond to our inquiry, so we just went with someone else. It’s beautiful though!!!
My son and I LOVE WPP. We have a membership and try to go out at least twice a month. We walk the trails, see the animals, visit the cabin for some fun, and can’t forget the playground .. he’s 4 so the playground and gollywhopper slide is an absolute must every single time. We are super excited to try their new playground they just opened not long ago. We missed it last trip because it started raining and I wasn’t down with playing in the rain.. but next time 🙂 I would def recommend to anyone who likes to be outside.
Absolutely beautiful and serene. They have fun activities and a lot of walking trails. The train ride is a lot of fun and they let you get of at a stop with a tall slide and slide down (fun for kids and adults). Also, you pay once and can ride it all day long. The cabins and stables are cool to stay at (the cabins are larger and have a kitchen, the stables are for no cooking stays). If you’re staying at the stables, no 1 and 2 have a cute view out of the back porch area (in that order).
We took our two little great granddaughters today, aged 9 and 4. Their favorite part was the two donkeys because they were able to see them up close. That is very sad since when we took our children and even joined them on a class trip to Wildlife Park years ago the place was very special. So many animal displays are empty. The park is a shadow of what it once was. I wanted to ask for my money back. Don’t waste your time.
We loved staying here!!! Very nice staff and volunteers, the stables were really nice with a lake outside. There were so many other places and a variety of types of fish. We caught so many fish we couldnt begin to count! The adventure trek was fun and informative, getting to see the bison up close! The elk were nearby with many babies which was very cool! The Merrill trail had a variety of animals, a nice walk in the shade and with cool animals to see. Everything was reasonably priced, not overly crowded. Very very happy about our weekend!
