WHAT A GORGEOUS PARK! came at 8am and the air smells unbelievably fresh here. only thing to mention is that this place is FULL of life of all kinds!! so while this is a great place to go birdwatching, be prepared to use your hand as a windshield wiper because its quite buggy. leaving with a few bug bites was a reasonable price to pay for the beauty of this place. i will definitely be back !

There is parking for the area and then you will follow a map on the trail app that will take you into a complete loop. You will see two cascades as you walk along the trail. It is mostly an easy hike to do.It took me about an hour to complete it. There is also a little stream that runs through the trail. My dog had Wonderful time out here.

A beautiful place to walk around and take in some nice views and easy trails. Its a little muddy in the spring but nothing too wet when I visited after a few days of rain. There are a couple good waterfalls and clearly marked trails

The Sheep Farm North has a diverse habitat including rocky outcroppings, glacial erratics, bluestem meadows, deep forest interior habitat, forest edge habitat, early successional forests, extensive wetlands, seeps, shrub swamps, a string of Tier 1 vernal pools, Class A stream- Fort Hill Brook, and two waterfalls.

A portion of the ancient Avalonia Shield on the Sheep Farm North features six high rocky ledges and many smaller ones, ridge lines, south-facing cliffs, and outcroppings. Glacial activity is apparent on the scarred rock faces and in the form of large erratic boulders.

Colonial stonewalls and stone heaps still mark the boundaries found on a 1754 deed

We really enjoyed this park! Wasn’t crowded on a weekday early afternoon. Great spaces for kids to roam and climb. We only explored a small portion of the trails to see the waterfall. Not stroller friendly trails. The trail to the waterfall was all downhill but not too steep. It was a little slippery under the fallen leaves since the ground was wet. Beautiful little waterfall. Good place to visit even if not going on the trails, there is plenty to keep kids busy just off the parking lot. Nice picnic tables for a lunch or snack.
